Write the date you want on the box before you pick up the coder. A best-before date or a pack date both sit on the screen as a short line. Edit it until it matches the batch in front of you.

Put the carton on the bench so it does not slide. Glide the coder across the face you want marked. Look at the print, and look at the screen, before the box goes onto the stack.
- On the touch screen, open a message or start a new one.
